Job Description :

In an outpatient examining room, under the direction of a physician, a Medical Assistant is responsible for a range of clinical and clerical tasks. They prepare treatment rooms, manage inventory of supplies and instruments, and assist physicians with patient care. Their role also involves providing basic medical care to patients in a clinical setting and maintaining electronic medical records by entering patient data accurately.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy Certifications obtained from an accredited provider.
CPR or BLS for the Healthcare Provider certificate issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
One (1) year of experience as a, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist or in additional areas of patient health care in a clinical setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
Must be patient in dealing with an elderly population and sympathetic to hearing or vision deficiencies.

Under the supervision of a registered nurse and/or physician, this role is responsible for executing a range of clinical and clerical duties in an outpatient examination room. Such duties include setting up treatment rooms, managing inventory of supplies and instruments, and assisting in the preparation of patients for physician attention. Furthermore, this position entails providing fundamental medical care to patients in a clinical environment.
