Job Description :
We are currently seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood from patients, collecting other specimens, labeling and storing samples, and performing clerical tasks related to laboratory work. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and laboratory personnel, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients and other specimens as required.
- Properly label and store collected samples according to established protocols.
- Verify patient information and medical history, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including stocking and restocking supplies as needed.
- Respond appropriately to patient questions and concerns, and communicate effectively with medical staff and laboratory personnel.
In order to excel in this role, the candidate must exhibit:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program.
- Certification as a phlebotomist.
- Minimum of one year of experience in phlebotomy, preferably in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
